Privacy Policy

Orrery collects nothing, tracks nothing, and needs no account. Nothing you do in the app ever leaves your device.

The short version

Orrery is a self-contained app. It has no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no user accounts. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. There is no server that receives your data, because the app does not send any.

Information we do not collect

• No name, email address, or contact details.
• No location data.
• No usage analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising identifiers.
• No account, login, or profile of any kind.

What stays on your device

Orrery saves a small amount of information locally on your device so the experience feels continuous, for example which worlds you have visited during a recent session. This information lives only on your device, is never uploaded, and is cleared as you keep using the app. Session progress resets each time you start fresh.

Camera and AR

The AR feature uses your device camera to place the solar system in your room. The camera image is processed live on your device to render the scene and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Orrery asks for camera permission only when you open AR, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in the Settings app.

Purchases

Orrery offers a single one-time purchase to unlock the full solar system. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Links to external sources

The About screen links to public NASA web pages so you can read the sources behind the app's facts. Following those links opens your browser and leaves Orrery. Those websites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Children's privacy

Orrery is designed to be safe for all ages, including children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. There are no ads, no external social features, and no data sharing.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Since the app collects no data, we do not expect material changes.
